Plants

The best we can figure from the fossil record, the first vascular plants arose 430 million years ago and now comprise around 230,000 species. Canada, where we are spending the bulk of our time in has counted 5,000 species of plants in its borders, of which 4,000 of them are flowering plants. On our trek we'll document the species we encounter along the way.. We'll be cataloging about 150 of the most common plants in the following 46 families.
