Stonecrop: Sedum sp.

Other names: Sedums

There are over 600 species of stonecrops worldwide, which range from the middle of the jungles in tropical regions to the tops of arctic mountains. This species stretches the extremes of the cold northern mountaintops. An interesting plant, it can grow on very poor soil on precarious mountain ridges. Like roseroot, which is a species in this genus, these plants are very well known for their decorative garden varieties. For more information in the particulars, see (Roseroot).
