House
Sparrow
(Passer domesticus)
The House Sparrow or English Sparrow was brought to Oahu in 1871 on
a shipment from New Zealand. It eats basically anything it can and is
sometimes considered a pest.
If you're looking for the nests of these birds, you'll find a nest in
trees or buildings that was built by the males and is lined with feathers.
The eggs are white and spotted.
Interesting Facts: The
most common bird in the world.
Where to find on campus: Everywhere, especially where outside
eating happens.
