This is one of my favorite
hikes. In essesence its a 2 hour hike to the crater. An hour of the hikeing
is through a fairly disturbed forest (invasive plants mostly), until you
get to the first waterfall. Then you hike another hour up three seperate
waterfalls that are fairly close together. The last of the three waterfalls
you climb straight up it.
In this video you can see at one point the rocks that are covered in
Ki leaves. They are scattered around the trail and at the waterfalls.
Traditionally Hawaiians left valuables in these Ki leaves. Today you usually
see rocks inside.
