Amphibians

Of the 4,600 species of Amphibians in the world, there are only a few found in the Pacific Northwest (approximately 14 in the area). Amphibians fall into three major groups - Caudata (Salamanders and Newts), - Anurans (Frogs and Toads), and Caecilia (caecilians). The caecilians however, are a small group of organisms that look like blind burrowing snakes, and are restricted to tropical areas
