July 21st: no miles: Cleaning Day!

(Joseph) Today was probably the most domestic day of our trip. WE actually got hair cuts, but instead of waiting in the waiting room like everyone else, we grabbed our field guides and headed out to what I would call the green patch of the city (otherwise known as an abandoned lot). I was able to snap a few photos of a new species of Asteraceae that we couldn’t find in the field guides. We thumbed through our new birding and flower guides that Deb bought us at REI and went back to her house to rest and get ready for a Dinner party that she set up at The Glacier Brewhouse in downtown Anchorage.
