July 26th:
no miles: REST sore legs!
(ROB) Imagine cycling 2000 miles. Do you
think you'd be fit after that? Or let me phrase it this way. After cycling
for 2000 miles you'd think that your legs would be in good enough shape
to hike a 9 mile roundtrip hike up a mountain range. Not at all! My
legs are so incredibly sore right now that I can hardly walk. There must
be a very different set of muscles that you use climbing uphill and downhill
than you use cycling. Because of this, all Joseph and I could do was stay
at home and rest. I did go for a bike ride though and Joseph made the
Video for the Arctic Alpine Adventure.
