Dominant Plants on the Ridge include the following:

  • Schefflera arboricola: Octopus tree
  • Stachytarpheta urticifolia: Cayenne Vervain
  • Schinus terebinhifolius :Christmas Berry
  • Metrosideros polymorpha : Ohia lehua
  • Kalanchoe pinnata: Air plant

 

     Ka'a'awa Ridge is located just behind the town of Ka'a'awa. From the town, there can be seen a cross set up on the side of the mountainside.
 

 

Ka'a'awa is a ridge hike located in the back of the valley. There are no trail head markers for this trail.
