Is that a mite? No. Mites belong to a different phylum of animals, which basically means they have almost no relation. This is a water bear. Water bears can lose 83% of their weight in water and live for over ten years in an inactive state. If you’re sad and want to set them free of their near death experience, put one of your tear drops on them. They will snap out of their inanimate state and continue life as normal.
