Ever wanted to buy your
own sailboat and sail around the world? Didn't think you had the
money or the sailing experience? Well, I'm proof that you can do
it if you really want to do it!
I came back from Mexico
almost totally broke. I had a beat-up car but no money and no place
to stay. I stayed for awhile in back of my car, but when I went
to the boat harbor and saw a Cal 20 for sale for $900 dollars, I
almost flipped. I borrowed some money from Joseph and bought it
right there. I had a lot of work to do though. Here are some of
the first pictures of my boat.
In the mean-time I replaced all the floorboards, made a cover for
the vent-hole, patched the deck where the cables had ripped out,
painted the deck, mounted a motor on the back-end, painted the cabin
and glassed in the floorboards, installed a rockin' stereo system,
installed lights, carpeted the floors, and am now getting ready
to give the outside a rockin paint job with the boat name and all
on the outside. The next step is to find girls to sail with me.
